The Classroom Companion CD-ROM for
Macintosh and Windows is an interactive CD-ROM
presentation of course related material for college
and university students. This application provides
you with educational material pertaining to your
specific selection.
The Classroom Companion CD-ROM package
consists of at least 3 items:
1. Program Disk(s)
2. Important Information Card
3. Electronic Users Manual Document (Some packages may contain additional
material)

Every Classroom Companion CD-ROM includes
both Macintosh and Windows versions of the
application.
The installation process creates a folder named
"ClassCD Material" on your computer, then copies
the necessary program files from the CD to that
folder. Any work that you complete while using the
Classroom Companion CD-ROM will be stored in
the ClassCD Material folder on your computer's hard
drive.

The presentation window displays lecture slides,
audio/video segments, animation, or interactive
graphics selected by your professor to teach the
fundamental principles of your specific course.
Current Messages allows the professor to send
messages to all of the students in the class.
Links to Online Exercise codes and online grades
are posted here. The notepad window is a utility
for students to enter their own notes for class
lecture slides.

The Classroom Companion search window can
find a desired topic or phrase. Type the search
topic into the "Keyword" query box, choose the
categories you want to search by clicking the box
next to the appropriate item and the program
application will then search the categories you
selected for the keyword you entered in the query
box. If you select "internet" the application will
display the results of your search in your web
browser. Selected work can be sent to the
professor through the Send window.

The Library section contains reference material
used by the professor to illustrate important
concepts of your class. Possible reference
material includes indexes, selected readings,
module details, lecture outlines, seminar themes,
study units on various topics, contacts to your
university areas, bibliographic information, links
to internet resources, etc. The Activity Window
includes educational activities that have been
created by your professor. These items include
module details, lecture outlines, seminar themes,
selected readings on important topics, assessment
exercises, bibliographic information, and links to
other internet resources. The export to notepad
button will send the text of the activity window to
the Notepad window.

The Assessment section contains interactive
practice activities that test your knowledge of
concepts covered in the class material. Assessment
items include practice test banks interactive
activities and access to online exercises. The
choice questions section contains multiple choice
questions that students can answer for practice.
When the text to speech button is selected, the
text in the activity window will be read to the
student.

Reader/DVD Lectures

The DVDs are region free, and are high-quality
DVD-R media to maximize compatibility with DVD
