Robert D. Myrick, Ph. D.and Linda S. Myrick, Ph.D.

About the Authors

Robert D. Myrick, Ph.D., is a professor emeritus, College of Education, University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida. He has received numerous professional awards as a counselor educator and educational consultant. His more than 150 books, monographs, book chapters, and journal articles emphasize practical ideas and skills. He has taught courses and presented workshops and seminars to counselors in training and practitioners in schools and mental health settings. His work in developmental counseling and guidance is nationally and internationally recognized.

Linda S. Myrick, Ph.D., is a private practitioner and consultant. She has also served as school counselor, district guidance coordinator, and adjunct university professor in counselor education in both teaching and supervisory roles. She has co-authored professional journal articles and monographs. In addition, she has provided training workshops on a variety of topics including communication skills to counselors, administrators, parents, and personnel in community helping agencies and government offices.

Bob and Linda have worked together for more than twenty-five years, consulting with and providing workshops to professionals throughout the United States and in Canada, Mexico City, and the Middle East. The Myricks are excited about helping people learn more about career planning and discussion-making with the help of computer technology and distance learning.
