About the Authors
Michael Moulton
Michael Moulton is Associate Professor of Wildlife Ecology & Conservation at the University of Florida. He received his Ph.D. in 1984 from the University of Tennessee. His area of expertise is ecology of nonindigenous vertebrates. He served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University, Assistant and Associate Professor at Georgia Southern University before coming to the University of Florida.
He has authored or co-authored seven book chapters, 38 refereed journal articles and a textbook. He has taught a course, based on the material in this book, to more than 16,000 students at the University of Florida. He also has taught courses in ecology and management of invasive species and quantitative ecology.
Fiona Sunquist
Fiona Sunquist is a science writer. Served as a roving editor for International Wildlife Magazine since 1986, she writes about science and natural history. Her articles appear regularly in International Wildlife, National Geographic World, Natural History, Wildlife Conservation, Das Tier, Airone, Anima and Zoogoer.
She has written book chapters for "Great Cats", "Kingdom of Cats" and is the author of two books in the "Wildlife as Cannon Sees It" series. With her husband Mel Sunquist she has co-authored 12 scientific publications and published three books: Tiger Moon (1988) and Wild Cats of the World (2002)
[both with University of Chicago Press] and Florida: The Ecotravelers' Wildlife Guide (2002) [Academic Press].
